The FIBARO Door/Windows Sensor is battery operated. Supports the Z-Wave standard. The sensor extends the capabilities of the system by monitoring the opening of doors, windows, and garage doors. It is used in automatic control of light, climate and is used in security systems. In addition, the module can be equipped with a temperature sensor and can be used as a device that extends the capabilities of the wall switch.

1) Door or window opening sensor

 

The Door/window sensor detects whether a window or door is open or closed. When the window is open, the system will not start heating or conditioning the air in the room, which will avoid unnecessary energy costs. Installing the sensor on the front door will allow you to turn on the light automatically when the door is opened, or apply a pre-created light scenario, for example, "Homecoming". The Door/window sensor is also used as an alarm sensor in case of unauthorized intrusion.

2) Binary input and trigger scripts

 

The Door/window sensor, connected to a regular wall switch, can remotely control other Z-Wave devices, trigger scenes through a controller, and also allows unplanned switches to be placed anywhere without wiring. The number and location of existing switches no longer limits you when creating a smart home. In addition, other sensors can be connected to the sensor, such as a motion sensor or an RFID sensor. All this will allow you to run scripts that you have configured in advance in the controller.

The "Everyone's gone" button / We have come" allows you to turn off or turn on the necessary equipment and lighting in one motion.

Connecting a conventional switch to the FIBARO door/window opening sensor will enable pre-configured scenarios. Set up a different number of clicks on the switch to run different scenarios.

The RFID sensor connected to the door/window opening sensor will be able to command the Smart Home to open the door, lift the garage door, turn on the necessary lighting and ventilation inside the garage.

Easy and fast installation

 

Installing the sensor is extremely simple. Take it out of the box, remove the top cover of the case, pull out the protective tab that protects the battery from discharging, and screw or glue the sensor to the desired location using the double-sided adhesive tape provided in the kit. Z-Wave technology allows the device to work for about 2 years without having to change the battery. You can always view the battery charge level for all devices in the controller's control panel. In any case, he will warn you in advance about the need to replace them.
