Purpose
The device contains an optical smoke sensor. When the sensor detects the presence of smoke, it sends a signal to the controller, five Z-Wave devices, and also turns on the built-in sound siren and alarm indicator on the device body.
The device is battery operated, making installation as easy as possible as no wiring is required. When the batteries are low, the device warns about this using an indicator on the case and sending a signal to the controller.
The sensor has a built-in sound siren, built-in self-diagnosis, and a manual test button. The sensor sends an alarm when the device is opened, sensor self-diagnosis error, or low battery.
