The DIT-101 IR thermostat is a Z–Wave device designed to control air conditioners by sending them IR commands. The IR commands are programmed from the native remote control of the air conditioner using a special program.

- It has the ability to connect one of the various DEFARO sensors (temperature, humidity, light, motion, as well as a universal binary sensor);
