The Dahua DH-PFS5924-24X managed switch with support for L2+ layer functions is equipped with an advanced infrastructure for efficient and secure packet transmission in the network. It is equipped with 16 gigabit RJ-45 ports (Base-T) and eight gigabit combo ports (1000BASE-T/SFP).
L2+ functionality
Supports:
- virtual local area networks (VLANs);
- static routing (network segmentation and maximum efficient use of network traffic);
- port isolation to protect privacy;
- port mirroring (traffic duplication on a separate port, traffic monitoring);
- aggregation of channels into one logical channel for reliability and increased bandwidth (14 groups, up to 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports per group).
Classifies the streams and limits the speed of the packet transmitted to the central processor to prevent the transmission of an illegal packet. It supports the ERPS and Spanning Tree protocols (STP, RSTP and MSTP), which prevent topological loops and looping routes during packet transmission.
Security strategy
Supports:
- Access control: authorization via 802.1X, identification of IP + MAC addresses of users, remote Radius for network clients.
- ACL packet filtering based on MAC address, IP address, and VLAN affiliation.
- Broadcast, multicast, and unicast storm management.
- Network traffic monitoring, multicast improvement — IGMP snooping.
- ARP intrusion detection, prevention of ARP cheat attacks.
- IP Source Guard — prevention of DOS attacks, hacker attacks, access from unregistered addresses, including deception of MAC, IP and MAC/IP.
- Tracking user access via the DHCP protocol.
- DHCP Snoopin is a feature to protect the DHCP server from hacker attacks.
Management
The switch and its functions are controlled via a visual WEB interface (http and https support protocols).
Supports:
- CLI configurations, console port management, and Telnet;
- The SNMP protocol for configuring management;
- The LLDP protocol, which simplifies management;
- SSH2.0 and other encryption modes for management security;
- Automatic network Time Synchronization protocol NTP;
- RMON — remote network monitoring.
Basic parameters
It is based on the VCore-III MIPS processor, which supports high (350 Gbit/s) bandwidth of the switching matrix. The packet forwarding rate is 35.7 Mpps. Supports duplex and half-duplex flow control modes. Implements multicast distribution from a single source, equipped with a 32K MAC address table. An AC power cable and a DB9-RJ45 serial port cable are included. Power supply: AC 100-240 V, power consumption — up to 50 watts. The size is 440×285×44.5 mm. Weight — 5 kg.
