The Sigur R500U controller is designed to work as part of an ACS. It controls four points of passage: doors with electromagnetic or electromechanical locks, electromechanical latches; lifting gates; single-leaf or double-leaf sliding or swing gates equipped with car detection sensors; electromechanical gates.

The controller supports any readers, in particular biometric, radio tags, pockets, key rings; any identifiers: proximity cards EM-Marin, HID, Mifare, etc., key rings, active and passive radio tags, tablet keys, codebreaking panels, fingerprints, face image, etc.; locks of all known designs + thin setting up, correct unlocking of electromechanical devices, indication of breaking and holding; any turnstiles and gates + there are 60 ready—made connection schemes; any card readers + 13 ready-made connection schemes; any drives of barriers and gates + 44 ready-made connection schemes; any intercoms - regardless of the device manufacturer.

Functions and interfaces

Up to four readers can be connected via the Wiegand-26, Wiegand-34, Wiegand-37, Wiegand-42, Wiegand-58, Dallas Touch memory interface, the keyboard interface is Wiegand—4/6/8. The communication interface is RS-485. No additional actuators are needed to account for working hours.

The Sigur R500U has built—in non-volatile memory, which speeds up reactions and increases system fault tolerance: the controller makes decisions independently. If there is a connection with the server, the data is transmitted automatically.

Non—volatile memory capacity: 7000 keys, 40,000 events, 500 access scenarios. The memory allocation between keys, events, and time zones is configurable.

The controller in offline mode, without software participation, supports: access schedules*, access with security approval, accompanied by the rule of two persons, Anti-passback and zone control**, dual authentication***, lock delay, door lock with one open, unlock when the fire alarm is triggered, limit the number of allowed to the human area, automatic opening of the second airlock door when passing through the first****, output of control signals for the card reader, redefinition of the functions of the hardware terminals.

The Sigur R500U also autonomously manages the lock status by double-presenting the employee ID, third-party controllers and gate motors, and other arbitrary devices, works as a gate drive controller, issues dozens of hardware signals, including "hacking", "unlocking", "door hold", and takes into account the features of gate models, turnstiles, and readers.

Connecting the controller via RS-485

The Sigur R500U controllers are networked with cables up to 1200 m long. The protocol clearly complies with the standard, which allows the use of repeaters that double the length of the line. To connect to a computer, you need a USB to RS485 converter. The maximum number of cables connected to one server is 16. The location of the converter is arbitrary, which makes it possible to optimize the network topology.

Notes

* Schedules are supported with any frequency in the range from one to 31 days and an unlimited number of access permission intervals, regardless of entry and exit.
** Functions require communication, but the controller's decision—making does not depend on the quality of this communication in any way - the R500U makes the decision itself and does it instantly.
*** Double authentication according to the scheme "Basic identifier (card, key, biometric feature, etc.) + PIN code".
**** The automatic opening of the second airlock door after entering the first one is configurable (instantaneously, with a programmed delay).
