The Hikvision DS-2CE79U8T-IT3Z analog video camera operates in the HD-TVI standard and transmits an 8-megapixel uncompressed signal via a coaxial cable. It is based on a highly sensitive (0.003 lux) sensor capable of producing color video even in low light conditions — switching the device to black and white mode is not required until complete darkness. The camera is adapted to difficult operating conditions: protection of the case from moisture and dust meets the requirements of the IP66 standard, from vandalism — IK10; operating temperature range — -40 to +60.

Image enhancement functions:

• DWDR — dynamic range expansion (software), neutralization of defects characteristic of video shot with light level fluctuations (10 levels).
• 3D DNR — noise reduction.
• BLC — background illumination compensation.
• HLC — compensation of local illumination.
• Defog — minimizing image defects caused by fog and smoke: improving contrast.

The OSD menu also provides motion detection and a masking function — 4 areas each.

In the dark, the stage is illuminated by EXIR IR illumination: an innovative light-emitting element with high photoelectric conversion and a rectangular diffusing lens (Hikvision patent). The system provides a high-quality image without darkened edges and central illumination, a concentration of light radiation in the monitoring area, low power consumption and a long service life. The range is 80 m.
